There’s a Simpson’s episode where Bart goes to Springfield Mall to get his ear pierced. As he walks through 
the mall, he passes several Starbucks. When he finally gets to In and Out Piercing, the employee says Well, better make it quick, kiddo. In five minutes this place is becoming a Starbucks.
In a case of life imitates Simpsons, there’re two Starbucks in San Francisco that are just 32 paces from each other. The Coffee Franchise Guide reports that, sadly, one is closing. Some San Franciscans will have to cross the street to get their Starbucks from now on.
